Learn how to create and animate objects and figures in a 2D or 3D environment for special effects, motion graphics and video compositing for advertising and marketing projects.

Is this a career for you?Video graphics/motion graphics requires a combination or art and design, production planning and visualization skills. Designers of motion graphics work in video production houses or freelance, every producer must have a basic understanding of all aspects of a project. No prior experience is necessary to begin the program, but good art and math skills are a benefit. Be prepared to learn the basics of storyboarding, animation, 3D modeling, drawing, layout and design, video production and editing, plus production planning.

What you will learn? Understanding and working on a 2D and 3D environment, graphic design, keyframe animation, compositing to video, video production, pre and post production planning, file maintenance, media for both CD and digital video applications in a real life setting.

Software you will use:Audodesk 3Ds Max, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects.

Supplemental and elective courses include: Interactive media, photography, sound and music technology, and typography.

Students can earn an Associated Degree or a Certificate in this program.
