Learn how to design, plan and produce different types of interactive, computer based projects for Computer Games, Computer Based Training, World Wide Web, and marketing and Promotional materials.
Is this a career for you? Interactive media requires a combination of art and design, production planning, and computer programming skills. Although most professionals work in teams and specialize to a certain extent, every multimedia producer must have a basic understanding of all aspects of a project. No prior experience is necessary to begin the program, but good art and math skills are a benefit. Be prepared to learn the basics of animation, drawing, layout and design, sound and video editing, computer programming, and production planning.
What you will learn? Raster and vector based graphics, graphic design, animation, sound production, working with digital video, basic scripting, designing navigation and user feedback systems, user input techniques, production planning, storyboarding and flowcharting, file management, media for both web and CD based delivery systems.
Software you will use: Adobe Director, Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier, sound editing software.
Supplemental and elective courses include: 3D modeling and animation, video and motion graphics production, sound and music technology and web design.
Students can earn an Associated Degree or a Certificate in this program
