3D Animation
Learn how to create and animate objects and figures in a 3 dimensional environment for special effects, motion graphics, simulations, engineering and architecural visualization, and advertising and marketing projects.
Is this a career for you? 3D Animation requires a combination of art and design, production planning and visualization skills. Although most professional designers work in teams and specialize to a certain extent, every 3D producer must have a basic understanding of all aspects of a project. No prior experience is necessary to begin the program, but good art and math skills are a benefit. Be prepared to learn the basics of 3D modeling, animation, drawing, layout and design, video editing, and production planning.
What you will learn?Understanding and working in a 3 Dimensional environment, creating 3D models, creating a 3D environment, texture mapping, lighting and surface properties, graphic design, keyframe animation, compositing to video, production planning file maintenance, media for both CD and digital video applications.
Software you will use: Autodesk 3Ds Max, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects.
Supplemental and elective courses include: Interactive media and game design, video and motion graphics production, sound and music technology, web design.
Students can earn an Associated Degree or a Certificate in this program.
